My new friend, Andrew (who had only known me approximately 20 seconds before he asked me to do a huge favor for him) owes me one.
So today's blog post (the funniest I have EVER posted) is provided by him... including the artwork. Now, in his words...
this is a true story, and has been a legend within the Yellis family for almost ten years.
we were at a christmas party. there were no other children there.
a bowl of delicious nuts was nearby...what did you expect me to do?
a bowl of delicious nuts was nearby...what did you expect me to do?
This was going to be a test of all my skills.
Contrary to what is shown here, I did reach past the candle.
(this is the only panel in which I drew the fire, because I am a failure)
I love my Dad.
The End.
Many thanks to my artistic sister Elizabeth for the fire.
I will always have this image burned into my mind:
Looking down at my hands and holding them in front of me,
watching flames leap from my left arm, across my chest, and up my right arm.
It was truly surreal.
(Oh. And if Andrew finds his future wife because she reads this post, he owes me. Again.)

Why does that story always make me laugh? Even though I was a first-hand spectator.

Arianna - Me too! :)
Ames - I agree.
Arianna, I'm a klutz too. It's even in my "about me" bio thingy. Totally sounds like something I would do. But not as a kid. Like ten minutes from now.
Loved the, how about those Red Sox? as Andrew burns. So funny!
